Alan Shearer thinks England should forget about Euro 2012
Ex-England star Alan Shearer has said that the new coach in charge of England should forget about winning Euro 2012 and look towards World Cup 2014.
Shearer, who scored 30 goals and earned 63 caps between 1992 and 2000, said that whoever the next manager is should use Euro 2012 as a stepping stone to victory in 2014. He also expressed his view of wanting Harry Redknapp to take the helm of the squad.
There are three friendlies to play before the Euro 2012 kicks off in Ukraine and Poland this summer – and with Stuart Pearce set to take over for at least the first game there does seem very little time for the team to correctly prepare for the Euros.Posted on: February 12, 2012, by : admin
