France join race to host Euro 2016

It has become public knowledge that France are to invest over 100 million euros in building brand new and updating their exisiting football stadiums across the country.
The campaign was launched by Jean-Pierre Escalettes in paris today.
France, who successfully hosted World Cup 98 have shown that they can host a major competition and even go on to win in their home nation.
France will go up against Italy and a Sweden/Norway collaboration to host the Euro Championship in 2016. Scotland and Wales recently dropped their bid attempt after the competition was expanded from 16 to 25 teams and in todays financial climate could not meet the expenses it would cause. |
